Alison Pill
Pill initially appeared in Canadian productions and took a while to break into its way into the American market. Bruce Gray starred on an episode on the Canadian show Traders. Pill managed to get an appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation which starred Wallace Langham and Liz Vassey in "Would Have, Would've, and Should've" written by Naren Shankar and featuring Michael Ensign and Michael G. Hagerty. Pill, who had worked as a character on Picard for one year, became a second part of the character on Devs, a science fiction mini-series made for FX Productions and Hulu. She played the exact same role, Katie, in each episode, as she did the character in Picard. Similarity to Picard didn't end there. The show's creators revealed the year in which she was featured, the primary theme of the series was around the preservation of consciousness in an artificial structure. The same was true also for Data too.
